Fergus is the dog I have been looking for since I started in this business. It’s always a little scary to put those words in print because you never want to be humbled by your dog, but my faith in our “Fergie” runs pretty deep.
The best way to describe Fergus is by calling him a "businessman." Fergus got his father's ground speed and style. He is fast, flashy, hard-charging and stylish, not to mention quite the looker. He’s as cooperative as his mother but yet strong-willed enough that he never questions his own abilities. Fergus hits the water with gusto and showed amazing focus and innate abilities at an exceptionally young age. He does his job with confidence and panache. He is truly a wonder to watch.
Fergus’s littermates are as consistent in their performance as he is, two others went on to get their Grandchampion of the Field and anther has his Champion. With all that being said, Fergus is just as happy playing with a ball, a bone, a rope toy, flies or whatever his latest fascination is in the house. He’s a love bug like his mom and has the mischievous nature of his father. Fergus's puppies show tremendous potential as he’s already produced dozens of puppies earning field and show titles.
Fergus was retired from breeding in the Spring of 2019. He left a long and promising impact on the breed, he sired over 250 puppies in his lifetime.
