Clint LaFary

Owner and trainer at Sur le Delavan Kennel and professional upland guide at Harpole's Heartland Lodge. I am a certified AKC Field Trial judge and UKC Field Trial instructor and judge in both the field and ring.  I have been training pointing dogs since 2002 and have been hunting behind dog since I have been able to walk.  My grandpa passed on a bird hunting tradition to me that grew into a love of all things bird dogs.

My passion and interest in bird dogs have developed throughout my career and has enabled me to become one of the top trainers in the UKC Field Trial venue. Our training methods at Sur le Delavan Kennel are unique and provide superior results. My methods rely on my ability to custom tailor a program for each individual dog.  I am equally adept at training the softest dog or transitioning to the most obstinate.

My compassion for the dog coupled with an extreme work ethic and integrity makes for a successful training program. My achievements are measured by the many successful trial champions but equally as much by the successful hunting dogs I send home to thrilled owners.
