About the Trial of Champions:

April 5th and 6th, 2025
Hosted by the EB Club of Illinois     UKC IL-700
Open to all UKC registered pointing breeds
Open Wild Brace both days - 8:00 AM CST
Open Liberated Solo - to follow on Saturday
Open Liberated Brace - to follow on Sunday
Gun Liberated Solo both days - 8:01 AM CST
TAN and WRT will be run on both days.
Entry Fee: $50 per run - $30 per TAN and WRT

This trial will run on farms comprising CRP, field edges, creek bottoms, and ag fields of Central IL. The courses will be continuous. Entries will close on March 29th, 2025, or when filled. Entries will only be taken by mail and with full payment. These field trials shall be conducted according to the applicable rules of the United Kennel Club.

 

Entries into the Trial of Champions events will be filled with Grandchampions first, then Champion, Champion Wild, Champion Liberated, Trialer, Gun, Hunt, TAN/WRT, and no titles. The number of times a dog has achieved the title (Example: Gun 3) will be used to split ties for entry if needed.

Please note: We will allow UKC-approved recovery collars to be used for your dog's safety.  

 

​​Dry camping is allowed at 1598 Towerline Road, Delavan, IL 61734, starting Friday, April 4.

​

Pekin and Lincoln both have several hotels to meet your overnight needs.  

​

Some notes of interest:

- We will use UTVs and 4-wheelers to shuttle people in and out of the fields. No long walks or waiting in the field!

​

- We have a few training days in January, February, and March to help you prepare for the trial. At no cost to you!

​

We are also hosting a handler's clinic in March. This is an excellent opportunity to understand better what the judges seek. We hope it will help you feel more comfortable and willing to give UKC field trials a chance—at no cost!

​

Cost to attend. We take pride in offering you great judges, awards, and experience at the lowest possible cost. While some clubs charge $50-$70 for TANs, WRTs charge only $30. We hope this encourages new owners and young dogs to get started! We also still charge $50 for each run in the trial. Other clubs are charging between $60-$80!

- We will NOT have any auctions or fundraisers to bleed more money out of you!
