The purpose of conformation shows (also known as dog shows) is to evaluate breeding stock. Judges select winners based on their ability to contribute and improve the next generation of dogs. Dogs start out in the classes competing for points toward their UKC championship title.

While I do not enjoy being in the ring nearly as much as in the field, I respect and understand the need to prove our dogs.  I take great pride in owning and producing Conformation Champions that are great in the field.  We have produced and owned more dogs than any other kennel in the US that had both Champion of the Field and Champion in Conformation both.

We have owned and trained some of the most proven dogs in the United States and Europe.  We only keep the ones that can reproduce puppies that are as good as them or better.  This was proven when Sur le Delavan Kennel was awarded the 2017 National Elevage, the only time we have entered in it.   Thor, Jonah, and Bo were the three dogs that were judged.  Thor and Jonah are both Champions of the Show Ring and Grandchampions in the Field.  Bo lost his life early on but had a very promising start to his career as well.
